Battlefield is a video game series developed by Dice, and published by Electronic Arts. The series debuted with the Battlefield 1942. The games take place during historical events, an alternate history, and in the future. Gameplay is mainly composed of first-person shooter aspects, with a large emphasis on vehicle combat on land, in the air, and to some extent, the sea. A commercial success, the Battlefield series had sold 4.4 million units as of October 2004.[1]

All four multiplayer game modes from Battlefield: Bad Company 2, including the genre-defining Conquest Mode, will be playable in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. The expansion is integrated with the full game persistence, so no matter what theatre of war you participate in, you will continue to level up your soldier as usual. Battlefield: Vietnam is the second installment in the Battlefield series of historical first-person shooters. It features realistic recreations of the battlefields weapons and vehicles of the Vietnam war allowing players to use a variety of different iconic weapons drive tanks fly planes and helicopters and even race into battle on a Vespa scooter.

@ScruffySasquatch most of the games that had MP using the Gamespy software and servers had their MP overhauled or simply removed from the stores. It was the choice of the publishers/developers which way they would go. I know there are methods to play the MP, but all of them are in a really grey area, as they are not officialy developed by EA, but third parties. Battlefield 1942, an FPS game released in 2002 by Electronic Arts. The game was released for PCs and Macintosh PCs. In Battlefield 1942, players play the role of soldiers from one of the five states participating in the Second World War. Various vehicles and five infantry classes are available to players. The game takes place on real battle.
