SSH port forwarding is a mechanism in SSH for tunneling application ports from the client machine to the server machine, or vice versa. It can be used for adding encryption to legacy applications, going through firewalls, and some system administrators and IT professionals use it for opening backdoors into the internal network from their home.

  • SSH Tunnel allows a network user to access or provide a network service that the underlying network does not support or provide directly. SSH Tunnel Provides a Secure Internet Connection for Your Windows Device with One Click. Windows SSH Tunnel database compatible with Android SSH Tunnel database, with export and import features.
  • ITivity SSH Manager is an automated tunnel management and access management solution that is easy to deploy, effortless to maintain, and infinitely scalable. ITivity works by automatically connecting all of your servers and devices — on any network — to a central management server to form a.

Secure Pipes makes managing SSH tunnels simple and robust. It's made for people who love and understand UNIX technology, but also love the simplicity and convenience of Mac OS X.

Remote Forwards

Selectively open up access to application ports normally not easily accessible due to network or service provider configuration restrictions. Open the door to easily leveraging OS X Server on Internet facing applications like email and web hosting.

Local Forwards

Ssh Tunnel Manager For Macos

Open application communication ports to remote servers without opening those ports to public networks. Bring the security of VPN communication to clients and servers on an ad hoc basis without the configuration and management hassle.

SOCKS Proxies

Easily setup and manage a SOCKS proxy server for either a local client or for a whole network to privatize communication and overcome local network restrictions. These tunnels are an indispensable and lightweight tool when traveling abroad, performing digital currency transactions, or just securing a local network.

Sounds impressive, but... What is it?

SSH tunnels aren't for everyone, but with a little understanding they can be. Secure Pipes is here to help and here are some things it helps you do.

Whether for the small office, home office, or corporate office, forget fooling around with risky port forwarding on your router. Armed with a cloud-based SSH server and Secure Pipes, you can easily, securely, and selectively provide access to your internal network resources outside your network. Servers, workstations, web cams, thermostats, and all those cool new IoT gadgets can be easily made Internet accessible without giving information on their actual location.
If you are a small/medium business or even an individual, and you don't own your mail data, you are taking a huge risk. Click on the 'Why this ad?' next time you're in Gmail and they will frankly tell you they basically read your email. But you're not doing anything wrong, so why care if Google reads your email and makes themselves a one stop shop for governments, their customers, and other agencies? Facts rarely matter when it comes to governments and legal systems. Do yourself and your company a favor and run a copy of OS X Server for $20. It's easy to use, a tremendous value, and Secure Pipes will make it easily Internet accessible.
Your IP address tells almost exactly where you are located. By using an encrypted connection to a proxy server instead of directly accessing the Internet, your location is masked to that of an SSH server in the cloud. Performing transactions using virtual currencies, freely browsing social media sites from restrictive locations (e.g. China or your company), or accessing country-specific content (e.g. Netflix) is quickly and simply possible.
Many times a full blown VPN is overkill if users merely need access to company web or email servers. Using Secure Pipes as both a client and server, it is possible to setup a simple VPN with very little configuration and minimal networking knowledge. Fewer moving parts means less to break and less opportunity for creating unintentional security holes.

Python Ssh Tunnel

As you can read in the Getting Started section of this site, there is nothing ground breaking about setting up SSH tunnels. However, what is exciting about this software is that it makes setting up the tunnels easy, reliable, and manageable. This combination opens up lots of doors especially for web developers and IT administrators who sometimes need quick, cheap, and secure access to network resources. Please refer to this site's Blog for recipes and other useful tips on using Secure Pipes and SSH tunnels.
